Below is an ad for the Gaumont film company. Gaumont made cartoons, most of which are invariably unavailable for viewing.
Awhile back I read in Crafton's Before Mickey that Gaumont was located in Flushing but didn't give it much thought. The moment I saw "Flushing, N.Y." listed on this ad, however, it piqued my curiosity. I'll have to do a little bit of detective work to find its old address and to see what's currently on the lot.

"Preparing Anthracite Coal For Market?" Sounds like a laff riot!
Impressive collection of printed material you have there. Keep it coming!
(Let us know if you find the "Lost City of Gaumont!")
Hi Tom, I remember Farmer Brown/Gray on our (NYC) channel 13, before it changed to PBS, in the 1950's. Endlessly dealing with his house mouses. The music provided was a nice exposure for us kids to the classics. I did take an animation course, The School of Visual Arts, but was a photo major. I have been retired for 25 yrs. (early) I read, and restore my 177 yr. old house. I wish to thank you for your interest and passions, and wish you the best of fortune. , adam kadmon
I'm a program host [dj] on a classical music station in Los Angeles. The very first classical music I recall ever hearing in my life was the final Galop from Debussey's Petite Suite. I heard it sitting on the floor in front of the TV watching Farmer Gray cartoons on Fred Sayle's "Junior Frolics" on NY Channel 13. Thanks for the opporunity to share. Laura
